NTPC Renewable Energy Ltd signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with National Institute of Wind Energy (NIWE) on 03-11-2022 in New Delhi for Strategic Collaboration in developing onshore and offshore wind power projects in India. The MoU was signed by Shri Rajiv Gupta, Chief General Manager, NTPC Renewable Energy Ltd and Dr K Boopathi, Director and Division Head, National Institute of Wind Energy.

This MoU shall help in building long term partnership with NIWE and shall develop the capabilities of NTPC REL in a longer terms for assessment, identification and studies for development of Onshore and Offshore Wind Projects. The MoU shall also be helpful in identification of new wind sites for further development.
